Dreams and visions are fascinating, they seem so out of reach, yet obtainable all at the same time. Have you ever had a dream that you know is worth pursuing, but it seems so far away? A vision that inspires and motivates every part of your being daily, despite the grandeur? Well, I believe God gave me a dream that does just that!
In October of 2024 I was in my bedroom, spending time with the Lord praying for this next season of my life (Young Adulthood), and I felt The Holy Spirit fall upon me, and then a vision flashed before me. It was a moving picture of myself walking through a college-like school in Europe, and as the vision continued I noticed another building and I got the impression it was for a non-profit organization. I then saw Jude, my newly made best friend there with me. The craziest part of this was that until that day, I had never dreamed or imagined this to be the story of my life.
This vision felt so powerful and moving, but at the same time I wrestled with the idea of this being my own imagination and not divinely inspired. After about a week of seeking God and praying I boldly shared this vision with my friend, who is now my business partner! At the time he echoed the prophetic nature of what God had spoken and expressed interest and passion.
Fast forward to June of 2025, I’m gearing up to go on a mission trip to Europe with an organization called European Initiative, and this will be my first time heading to that continent! While on this mission trip I wasn’t just working as a missionary, I was praying that on this 40 day trip the Lord would open my heart for the continent of Europe, and he did just that! Every day on that trip, I thought to myself “I know that God has destined me to grab a hold of this dream and pursue the adventure of creation that this would mean.”
Carry on to September of 2025, the Lord placed a deeper stirring in my heart for business, considering that was half of the vision I needed a passion for it! He put it on my heart to see what it looked like to pursue missions and business at the same time. It was actually during this process of responding to the Lord’s prompting that I completely changed my degree path! I’m currently studying at Valley Creek College with Southeastern University’s online program, and I went from pursuing a BS in Missional Leadership to pursuing a BS in Communications and Mass Media with a concentration of Marketing and Business.
Immediately after making the degree switch, I was filled with divine anticipation for the doors that God would open, and I received a new level of passion for pursuing this vision.
The crazy thing is, during the time I received the vision in October of 2024 the Lord spoke to me and said that I’ll have an online journal articulating my stories as a missionary and documenting the journey of chasing this dream, and funny enough my first assignment for my new bachelor’s degree was to create just that, and it’s exactly what you’re reading right now!
Now, in November of 2025, I’m not only in college working towards a bachelors to help me on this journey, but I’m a missionary too. I have had the most fulfilling journey of discovering this passion. Traveling to 3 countries in Africa and 9 in Europe all on mission has confirmed my calling for me, and I now get the privilege of going back to Europe in January of 2026 to carry the grace of God and the Gospel to Athens, Greece!
So I share all of this, the dream, the passions, and the current steps to not only build your faith, but also to say that when God gives you a dream, it’s worth pursuing, even at 19 years old!
